that ability to identify and handle your own emotions and emotions of others are more important than your technical skills to succeed not only in our work place but also in your personal life. This skill is called as emotional intelligence.

Emotional intelligence covers four core skills which are

A)self awareness
b)social awareness

c)self management
d)relationship management

In this video we are going to discuss about "self awareness". I am not going to ask you to meditate or do any other yogic practice to become self aware.

Instead we are going to explore what is important to us in our life based on our desires to become self aware...

Self awareness includes feeling of your emotion and understanding the source of emotion. Beliefs and Values are the main source of emotions.

Your values define what is important in your life and you would
have set of beliefs for everything you value in life.

For example, If friendship is your value, then your beliefs could be
friend is the one who spends more time with you or someone who always tells truth to you.
If any of your friend breaks your belief you get angry.

Generally, you get positive emotions when values are fulfilled and negative emotions when your values are violated.

Values provides foundation for your life decisions and your goals.
If your goals are aligned with your Values, you lead happy life and if you goals are misaligned with your values, life becomes a misery.
