Lyceum NorthWestern University - School of Medicine

Lyceum NorthWestern University was founded on 1969. It was intially started as nursing school containing only single room at the Dagupan city, Philipines. In 1974, it was merged with Northern Educational Institution and later emerged with name Lyceum NorthWestern. The first medical school of the north was established in 1975 by Northwestern medical university.

Location - Dagupan City

Lyceum North Western University is situated at the Dagupan City which is about 200 kilometers towards north side of Manila. There are five different bus routes that connect Manila and Dagupan city, Manila is the capital of the country. Dagupan City is one of the first class city in the Philippines and it is the one of the major financial and commercial base situated north of Manila and it has beatiful beaches and colorful and wonderful festivals.

programs, science, information technology, education, entrepreneurship, law enforcement and vocational and technical programs to the people of Pangasinan and the neighboring provinces through competent and qualified instructors and adequate state of the art facilities in an atmosphere of discipline and values.

Lyceum Northwestern University is an ISO 9001: 1994 Certified educational Institution. It registers 100% pass rate and College of Medicine was recognized as the third best medical school in the Philippines and was ranked at fifth worldwide based on 1982 Foreign Medical Graduates Exam Results (ECFMG) in Philadelphia, USA

Course Curriculam

The four-year medical course at Lyceum NorthWestern University School of Medicine generally progresses from the study of the normal to the abnormal human being. Most of the subjects are yearly courses which are taken up for two semesters.
The course covers the normal Human Anatomy, Psychiatry, Community health, Parasitology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Preventive Medicine, Biochemistry, Medical Practice. Course includes Class lectures, laboratory work and group discussions followed by clinical rotation in medical centres during which students will get a chance to treat patients under the guidance of senior doctors.

Admission Requirements For Foreign Students


  • 50% marks in science subjects

  • Student Visa

  • Certificate of Registration issued by the Bureau of Immigration & Deportation

  • Personal History Statement (PHS) with original photos and signature

  • Certified copy of Passport

  • Notarized proof of adequate financial support (Bank Statement) of sponsoring party

  • Transcript of Records and Certificate of Graduation should be duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence

  • Notice of Acceptance


Other Courses

Lyceum NorthWestern University also provides courses on doctor of dental medicine, dental technology, four year BS in Nursing, four year Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (Medical Technology), 4-year BS Pharmacy course, two year Diploma in Midwifery as well as other discipline courses in engineering, arts and science, hospitality, maritime courses.
