Four
Tested Study Tips For Performing Well On Final Exams
Contrary to popular belief, high school is
not about graduation. It's about preparation. High school is a time for
preparing to leave home, enter a bigger world, and head off to college or a career.
That is true for all students, but there are some unique tips that home school
students should consider as they enter high school. These tips will help keep
home school students focused and motivated, but also get them ready for their
life beyond high school. These strategies go beyond the core subjects that
students should be studying and into a different set of skills that they should
be developing and living into. Be sure to discuss these guidelines with your
home school students, before and during high school, as these will be critical
to their later success.

1) Focus on learning the main concepts
first. The Important parts of learning how to extend study skills for college
is to think seriously. In order to do this, you must begin to start asking
yourself the "Why?" and "How?" of the material you're
studying. Focus on identifying and understanding the under lying concepts,
idea, and point of view. Once you get a good feel for the foundation of a
particular subject, it will be much easier to remember details and facts since
you will have a stand to relate them to. And also, one of the main objectives
of a college institution is to develop your critical thinking ability since
these are what, set people apart in their careers and in life.
He is also expected to frame long form
questions that of ten marks, of fifteen marks, and of twenty marks. These
questions are the combination of already framed short type questions.
1) You can study tips on how to control
every race. One of the very best features of Star Craft two is that there are
three various ways to enjoy the action dependent upon which race you decide on.
They all have got
their own quirks and methods that are special to them. All of us understand how
the Zerg are awesome in major amounts, yet little bit strong in small groups. The
different races within comparable volumes. If you know the way to pump out
enormous quantities of the Zerg in a quicker period of time then you definitely
can guarantee your triumph. You will find strategies such as this for each and every race in
Star Craft 2 manuals.
When trying to take in and recall large
amounts of data, it's become normal to classify and sort it, to put it into
boxes. That is OK, until we need to recover the information. Then it's hard to
find. Our index scheme doesn't work so well, so we can't retrieve the
information and facts we have stored up away. The problem runs from the fact
that we do not really organize our memory system in that way.
Take 5 minutes before class to review the
day's approaching lesson. Take 5 minutes after class to review the day's notes.
You can gain more from these few minutes than any other time!
Independent Learning: Homeschooling allows
students to learn at their own pace. Years of research have shown the PSI
(personal systems of instruction) model to be a quite effective learning
system. Students, who have the opportunity to learn the material that they are
interested in and at their own pace, often do well. In fact, homeschooled
students do quite well on SAT scores, especially in math and reading.
Utilize the bullet and numbered list. It makes your information
familiar to attract others and gives the reader a
mental break from dividing your paragraphs one after the other. Then select the
best design and choose the font that is focus to the eyes, and stick to that
font family. Using dozens of fonts will only tire your readers out before they
have gotten past your introduction. I have found that the best fonts to use are
Arial, Verdana or my favorite Times New Roman. Size should be 14pt. The reason you
should use these is because every computer has these fonts pre-installed.
Set a Date - The best way to achieve a goal
is to set a date of completion. Agreeing to take the exam in four to five
months is not good enough. Set a specific date (i.e., Saturday June 26, 2010)
and stick to it. Give yourself bench marks
throughout your study program.
An exam is not like learning in the
classroom. A student is required to put down on paper everything they know in a
really short period of time. For this reason it’s hugely important to become
familiar with the test format before taking the ISEE test. Study tips are great
but if you don’t know what you should be studying they are fairly pointless.
